Why is prepaid so cheap than post paid. What's the catch. 16GB is a lot if you are not streaming

prepaid has low priority when network is congested. data rate gets throttled. //@Anonymous: Why is prepaid so cheap than post paid. What's the catch. 16GB is a lot if you are not streaming

there's no catch! most people don't want to pay for the phone upfront so they fall into postpay trap and end up paying more for service! I have gone prepaid route for years with AT&T and super happy. If you make it family plan its soo cheap (at least with at&t) //@Anonymous: Why is prepaid so cheap than post paid. What's the catch. 16GB is a lot if you are not streaming

Why the 1st month bill is higher? Verizon is short of cash flow?
Anonymous
You could get unlimited with 40$ per month per line if you have 4 lines in your plan.

Can existing Verizon customers switch to this prepaid plan?

This is mostly untrue nowadays. The carrier charges first in prepaid plan. //@anonymous: prepaid has low priority when network is congested. data rate gets throttled. //@Anonymous: Why is prepaid so cheap than post paid. What's the catch. 16GB is a lot if you are not streaming

Does this mean you have to keep the new line for 24 months or can you join existing plans after a certain period?
Anonymous
My guess is that you need to keep the service, paying 70/month for 24 months. Otherwise you likely need to pay their (inflated) price in full.
Just buy an unlocked one and use it on whatever plan you can find, many are 30/month. //@Anonymous: Does this mean you have to keep the new line for 24 months or can you join existing plans after a certain period?

What does “upgrade” mean exactly? I’ve been a Verizon customer since 2013 and this would be my 3rd iPhone - do I qualify for this pricing?

I was looking for the differences among the iPhone SE (2020) AT&T model, Verizon model and SIM-free model. Could someone clarify if I plan to use both carriers on this phone, which model should I get?

Is Samsung S20 a better deal?

no experience about Verizon but I would not recommend falling into this upgrade trap for AT&T - they make false claims and promises and never give you the discounts promised, you end up paying more and be locked in for 24/30 months. Better to buy unlocked from Apple/eBay //@Anonymous: What does “upgrade” mean exactly? I’ve been a Verizon customer since 2013 and this would be my 3rd iPhone - do I qualify for this pricing?

Very bad experience with AT&T, and will never look back. Run away from AT&T if you can.

I had very bad customer service with ATT today, they are disgusting. Be careful when you do business with them, they don't respect customers. Charges more too. //@Anonymous: Very bad experience with AT&T, and will never look back. Run away from AT&T if you can.

We own Airpods Pro + Airpods Regular in our family. If comfort matters a lot to you, I recommend the cheaper Airpods Regular. Yes, Airpods Pro sound much better and have amazing noise cancellation, but I would rather get a proper pair of headphones for the boost in sound quality with the price difference.
