Make sure you buy a hard case for this. The nib breaks pretty easily if you're not careful and stuffing it into a backpack.

Samsung recently subtly changed the parts of the 970 EVOs, and as such performance took a small but noticeable hit. Anyone interested should pay close attention to which version they are getting, as the new model does have a new SKU.

Crypto ice age coming. Memory and SSD prices will cut in 1/2 within the next 6 months. Check ebay for used memory and SSD’s, they will be a penny per 100M.

I definitely wouldn't buy a huge one like this, but buying some form of PCI gen 4 M.2 now seems very appealing. They so fast! //@Anonymous: A year ago these were $350. Never but these when they first came out. Not worth it.

Now is half a penny per 100M. Will be quarter a penny per 100M by the end of 2023. CPU and memory demand will continue to fall as cypto mining dies down. Forget about AI because there is no such thing. ChatGPT is a fluke as there is no true AI advantage since Deep Blue. Whatever they call AI today is no more than "Automation + Big Data" but calling that AI is total bullshit. https://www.newyorker.com/science/annals-of-artificial-intelligence/there-is-no-ai //@anonymous: I doubt that, given the situation of chip shortage and widespread inflation. //@Anonymous: Crypto ice age coming. I miss mine. It broke down after 6 or 7 faithful years. I updated to the Barista Pro, but I miss the more straightforward utility of the express. The pressure gauge is a nice feature to help dial in shots.

Would you say that $600 is a good price for this one? And how much would it have cost to repair yours? //@anonymous: I miss mine. It broke down after 6 or 7 faithful years. It will last a long time if you keep the steam wand clean. I let mine get gunked up and it eventually blew out the pump. Fixing it was going to cost like $300, so I just bought another one and it's been doing great.

I got one back in 2014 and it is broken after about 3000 cups. Pros said it was about the right life span. This is perfect model to do entry level latte art.

Samsung business dropping all around. Expect 1TB SSD to drop by 15% and 4TB to drop 40% by year end. External 4TBs will become be cheap as there will be push for 8TB. PC memory and SSD prices continue to fall into year because China will be banning PC memory and SSD from Korea/Japan/US due to chip war. PC chips are low-end. China can manufacture their own PC chips and only want to buy mobile and AI chips.
