If 256G was not a single module like M1 Air, this is a great choice, but since it is not, go either m1 air or m1 pro, depending on your needs. I got both, one for my daughter and one for me, and yes, I tried M2 256G and M2 512G, but the former is slow, the latter is too expensive compared to its capability.

Running with the Pro, it makes shaking sound for every step. The app showed it fits in my ears nicely, but it is not. The noise cancellation is not as over the ears headphones. Pro is between 2nd and 3rd generations, released in 2019, but it has noise cancellation which is a big advantage over 3rd generation
