The M1 MBA is still one of the best bang for the buck Macs ever. I just wish there was a 16GB RAM version that wasn’t Build To Order.

I think Apple wants people who have that need to take an extra step and pay extra $$$ to buy a MacBook Pro. Does that sound right? //@Anonymous: yeah, just curious why there's no 16g ram version on sale? all just 8g ram with different ssd sizes

Because Apple doesn’t sell a “standard retail” 16GB version, they are both 8GB. National retailers only can get those configurations. Was hoping with the MBA M2 version that would change, but nope. //@Anonymous: yeah, just curious why there's no 16g ram version on sale? all just 8g ram with different ssd sizes

Please correct the description, as the link for 512GB storage is actually 256GB with Apple Care+.

I am going with $899 Macbook Pro M1 from Costco. Costco Delivery charges less tax compared to Amazon so the difference is less than $100 to me. //@Anonymous: yes //@Anonymous: Can this be hooked up with an external monitor?

Actually, WD HD prices @ BH are pretty nice, much better than Amzn's if you are looking for disks > 10TB. //@Anonymous: Not a deal at all.

I bought 8TB external HDD for price around of $100 a couple of years ago. Taking into consideration current inflation rate this deal is compatible with the shown price. Probably, this isn't a bad price for somebody who needs large storage drives. //@Anonymous: Actually, WD HD prices @ BH are pretty nice, much better than Amzn's if you are looking for disks > 10TB. //@Anonymous: Not a deal at all.
