Staple had 17 laptop with better cpu and ssd, for only $399.

Terrible deal. For $75 more, staple has the one that is 2x the CPU, 2x the SSD capacity, and more importantly -- lets you upgrade the memory. This Walmart laptop is capped at 8G ram which is the bare minimum for Windows 10/11 today. The way Edge and Chrome spawns threads and how Windows 11 is expected to change, 8G won't last long.

I got my order yesterday. Good quality. The TN screen is not ideal but is somewhat better than the Acer Aspire 3 screen, which I bought from another deal here recently (15' 8G 256GB $350, also Walmart). I'm keeping this one and returning the Acer.
