Will these M1 computers be able to run all the MAC applications?

Guys, if your goal is to run video editing software, M1 Mac is great. Otherwise, emulating x86 games and other demanding tasks are still inferior to Intel processors. Also if you are an x86 developer or coder, you are basically toasted. the M1 Mac is not able to run VirtualBox at the moment.

yes. but some of the apps may have to be executed in emulated environment, which means lower speed and higher power consumption. //@Anonymous: Will these M1 computers be able to run all the MAC applications?

Tech reviews already determined that the emulated software on M1 is still faster than running natively on Intel. //@anonymous: yes. but some of the apps may have to be executed in emulated environment, which means lower speed and higher power consumption. //@Anonymous: Will these M1 computers be able to run all the MAC applications?

Ever since M1 was out, if you are shopping for a new laptop, the only reason you don't go with M1 MacBooks is you can't live without Windows.
