That is Apple's trick. For me, 512GB seems to be the minimal disk space I need. After one year of usage, I used about 260GB as a developer. So I will have to pay the $200 for that 256GB. //@Anonymous: $200 for just 256GB

I think Apple realizes people aren't buying iPhones every year. Basically the market is saturated with high-end iPhones that will last 2 to 4 years. This is why their trying to push as many MacBooks as possible.

This is such a ridiculous remark. There were 4 channels in the previous 16 gb models (4gb*4). Now Apple wants to save money and started using 6 gb unit. So the 18 gb module only has 3 channels (6gb*3). The memory bandwidth is worse then M2 equivalent models. //@anonymous: Triple-channel ram. 3x6gb sticks = 18gb. Different cars have different gas tank size because they have different MPGs. But a full tank of gas will let you drive similar distances with different cars (excluding hybrids). micro center is my first store choice, if there's one around you, esp in NJ, they somehow got down the tax to 3.5% in the garden state, while state tax around double that. Last time, I was checking a Mac mini, micro center got nice promotions like 150 off, and with the tax save makes it even sweeter. Not avaialbe in NY on the special tax save.
