That's just wrong. Amazon will not lose money buy selling discounted gift card. It's BestBuy selling Amazon its gift card for even lower price. At the end, BestBuy loses even more. The 20% off is between Amazon and Discovercard. Any lost would be from these two companies, not Best Buy. Sure, Amazon takes a cut from Best Buy for selling their card, but no where near $50.
