Bought the new macbook air and returned it, it gets hot pretty easily and the fan runs at full speed almost all the time even when browsing regular websites. The thermal layout is bad. Don't think they're so fragile. I left one side of g1 airpods in my pocket and it went through a full washing cycle and halfway through a drying cycle before I heard it banging in the dryer.
