I am too poor for this. I waited years for the iPad mini to get back to $200 at target and finally gave up. I got the stupid Lenovo 8 inch. 3gb ram and 1080 screen, and takes micro SD. It's very slow but I paid like $115 with tax. Makes a good reader.

Go look it up. Better resolution (in ppi), better face camera, higher memory capacities, and lighter weight all in mini. I was able to get one, my strategy that worked for me was to check bestbuy every 7-10 min throughout the day. they “restock” a limited amount every so often. just make sure your payment info is already filled out on bestbuy.com so you can checkout before it sells out!

They finally did the right thing to restrict the # of unit people can buy and release unit in batches instead all at once. So that more people can get it. Fewer reseller can take advantage now.
