I heard its speed is terrible

Had it for a couple of months and while my signal was always excellent, speeds varied greatly depending on which band you connected to. And you're not always on the same band. Speeds were pathetic at times when the towers were overloaded. Went back to Xfinity for a fast and consistent connection.

I used it for 3 months and canceled it. The speed is very bad. The interesting thing is my phone speed is OK using TMO at the same time and location.

I have the same issue, and I restart the device when this happens. Any better solutions? //@Ninehead: I tried for a few months. The speed is OK but it disconnected from time to time..

T-Mobile is using excess capacity to support home internet. This means that the priority is still for mobile devices. That's why in the same location, the phone will always perform better. Issue is: the more customers switch to T-Mobile the less reliable the home internet service will be...

AT&T is the worst out the big three, as their prices are high and they offer the least amount of incentives and value compared to the other two.

Device unlock seems a bit sketchy if you cancel the service after the first month. Went to a store to check it out. The guy said you have to have active service for 6 months before you could request to unlock the phone. Giving it a pass for that reason.

You need to go to a Metro PCS corporate store where they will know what they are talking about, not a partner store which could be run by any schmo. //@anonymous: Device unlock seems a bit sketchy if you cancel the service after the first month.
