I had bad experience with nighthawk router. I bought it because of its good reputation. but my Wi-Fi freeze from time to time -- still connected, but no data went through,. browser or video streaming just hang there. happend multiple time per day. Finally, I put this router behind my other router, and started a traffic analyzer. found out , from time to time, the nighthawk router send a bunch of traffic to netgear.com... I don't know what were those traffic for? hope it was not my personal data. why cannot they make a simple, quiet, and robust stable product? now I switched to eero WiFi 6 mesh. I am happy now.

Looks like it uses a lower-frequency processor (1.8 -> 1.5GHz) than the older model (AX5700).

My previous Nighthawk router lost configuration whenever we have a power outage. It has been a bug forever. Netgear does not give a sh*t on its customers. Pass!

You all act like you know what the best and worst networking equipment is for everyone’s needs, and from which company, for every single person alive at any given time. If this is not a deal for you just leave it at that.

more info can help other buyers to make better choice. if more info bothers you, you can ignore. //@anonymous: You all act like you know what the best and worst networking equipment is for everyone’s needs, and from which company, for every single person alive at any given time. Honest question, why do these Wifi 6 routers all have to look like Romulan spaceships? Can't we just get a little box like we used to?

Anonymous

That’s your motivation? You’re misled. Every single router on the market has some negative experience. Not every since person has the same network and usage let alone configuration experience. How is complaining anonymously about an isolated case help? This is not a review site. And reviews are not proof of value. Go rant and slander elsewhere. //@anonymous: more info can help other buyers to make better choice. if more info bothers you, you can ignore. //@anonymous: You all act like you know what the best and worst networking equipment is for everyone’s needs, and from which company, for every single person alive at any given time. Honest answer - don’t think you’d really ask that to the designers other than an attempt at a joke if you were given the chance. //@anonymous: Honest question, why do these Wifi 6 routers all have to look like Romulan spaceships? Can't we just get a little box like we used to?

"you are misled" what does that even mean? "you were misled" or "you are misleading". I'll keep on sharing my bad experience with products, to give others some more input. And yes I will do this anonymously as everybody is doing here. Do you work for Netgear or what? //@Anonymous: That’s your motivation? You’re misled. You were misled thinking your negative opinion about a brand matters to people. Sorry but you are the one sounding like you have an incentive from another company. Lol what a joker. I was misled by whom? OMG your English is terrible. I guess you are trying to say "wishful thinking", or "flattered yourself". So difficult to communicate with you. Any way, I will keep on posting my good/bad experience with products. Enjoy, no need to say "thanks". Bye. //@anonymous: You were misled thinking your negative opinion about a brand matters to people. Sorry but you are the one sounding like you have an incentive from another company. Lol your English is terrible? That’s all you got? You start to insult people as your defense. Again, you’re misled. If you didn’t figure it out it means you’re misleading yourself thinking your helping leave reviews on a deal site. Your ranting means little to none to anyone reading this. You keep coming back here too you must be so lonely. Hope you feel better soon and realize you’re seriously bitter about something and it’s not a router. //@anonymous: I was misled by whom? Router experiences are subjective, so the more reviews the merrier. I'd prefer to know a variety of people's experiences having it in a multi-storied houses, or reach style. Lower internet plants to gitgabit and higher plans, comcast, verizon cox etc. Top acting like kids and control your petty egos

Yes, my plan is 200mb, and test gives ~230mb using 5GHz. There is no difference between Wi-Fi and Ethernet. On the opposite side, it gives ~180mb using 5GHz.

It's a good router. You get higher speed if you use this vs cheaper wifi 6 routers with single core processor and lower frequency. Price is decent.
