Do not buy. Bought it two years ago, 1) uses ink way too fast and 2) one refill of the ink costs more than the printer itself

It is crazy the ink cost more than the printer. Other than the ink cost, it is a decent printer for small print job.

$33 for 2 about two years ago. That's how crazy the price rise for printers.

It's more economical if you buy one, use up the initial ink included, sell the printer, then buy another new one. //@Anonymous: $33 for 2 about two years ago. That's how crazy the price rise for printers.

Isn't it hard to re-sell a printer like this when it doesn't have ink?

The company actually makes money by selling the ink. The machine itself is just a gift. //@anonymous: Use the ink and take it apart. You’ll realize that printer at this price is a steal

No one here has ever tried refilling an ink cartridge? It is really economical. Around $10 for ink and 15-20 min to do it.
Bought this three yes back for 19.99 and never paid anything extra for ink. Ink lasts about 5 yr for avg printing

Buy generic ink cartridges (with new chips) - many are cheap but work fairly well.

Ink is nothing more than a plastic box with a sponger inside and a chip outside. I refilled it for 12 years, until the chip eventually burn. A group of bottles of ink costs you 15 dollar (black and 3 other colors) and can survive for 3-5 years

The printer itself is OK, but this model uses expensive ink cartridges that have microchips to prevent you from refilling with generic ink.

Thanks for sharing the information, almost pull the trigger

You almost have to subscribe to their EZ print refresh service for this printer as it makes more sense from the cost perspective, although for occasional prints it is not bad at all ($2.50 per month for 40 pages).

The included cartridges are samples to promote their subscription service. You are supposed to buy the chipless version yourself seperately. //@anonymous: The printer itself is OK, but this model uses expensive ink cartridges that have microchips to prevent you from refilling with generic ink.
