This is such a ridiculous remark. There were 4 channels in the previous 16 gb models (4gb*4). Now Apple wants to save money and started using 6 gb unit. So the 18 gb module only has 3 channels (6gb*3). The memory bandwidth is worse then M2 equivalent models. //@anonymous: Triple-channel ram. 3x6gb sticks = 18gb. When M1 first came out, people reported it still runs smoothly with 400 safari windows open.

Crappy software will beat all the RAMs and CPUs you throw in

Different cars have different gas tank size because they have different MPGs. But a full tank of gas will let you drive similar distances with different cars (excluding hybrids).
