Ryobi tools are cheaply built, heavier and nosier, and batteries use cheap Chinese 18650 cells now. Basically you get what you pay for. //@Anonymous: This is bad advice. Ryobi tools are good for everyone except contractors who need heavy duty tools that they use every day. //@anonymous: No for handyman like home owners. Yes for most of the others who only need to work with even less than 50 screws in a year. //@Anonymous: New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

bought this last year at the same price. It has been working well so far. No complaint yet.

New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

It's not bad because it comes with the battery. Rule of Ryobi tools: batteries are expensive, tools are cheap. But that doesn't mean the tools are low quality -- they're pretty good for home use. //@Anonymous: New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

I think it's a great deal since it comes with the battery. Ryobi is a pretty good brand. As long as an impact driver is what you need and not a standard drill (this one is not for drilling holes, it is just for placing screws or other fasteners) //@anonymous: New home owner here. this driver is a beast, good deal.

Go get it if you need an impact driver in typical home projects like putting screws on woods or drywalls. It is a very good deal. But we will need a drill driver as well some day. Normally it saves more if you buy a pair. //@anonymous: New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

No, for tools, buy the best ones you can afford or you will upgrade later anyway. //@anonymous: New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

It depends. Unless you are a professional contractor, this tool should cover most of house work. //@anonymous: No, for tools, buy the best ones you can afford or you will upgrade later anyway. //@anonymous: New home owner here. Is it a good deal? Better or on par with Thanksgiving deals?

Your argument is baseless. What really makes a difference between mid and high-end tools is a torque offered by a tool, not a battery. Most brushless, expensive tools tend to be overspec for everyday work. Ryobi has a proven track of the reliability among users. //@anonymous: Ryobi tools are cheaply built, heavier and nosier, and batteries use cheap Chinese 18650 cells now. Not bad. Cheap and versatile tools available. I use them maybe 1-2 time a m9nth and failed to break any. For occasional use, 12v tools are good enough. Of cause M12 is more expensive than Ryobi 18v.. //@anonymous: you get for what you pay for. owned dewalt also, battery not made in china but 2 died in 2 month //@Anonymous: Ryobi tools are cheaply built, heavier and nosier, and batteries use cheap Chinese 18650 cells now. compare apple to apple. You compare $150 dewalt vs $39 ryobi? No way. User error, should not let any lithium ion battery over-discharge. For safer choice, Makita batteries have auto shutoff mechanism //@anonymous: you get for what you pay for. owned dewalt also, battery not made in china but 2 died in 2 month //@Anonymous: Ryobi tools are cheaply built, heavier and nosier, and batteries use cheap Chinese 18650 cells now.
