This second generation. First generation is $149. $80 more for second generation. You don't really need second generation if you want to spend $80 on something better or even not spend it. //@cheetah: 1st generation? //@anonymous: Walmart has it for 149$

Don't buy it if you don't need it. I paid ~$130 for a 500G one 5 years ago. It has been collecting dust most of the time since.

Just because most people bought 2TB version. The control circuit has serious hardware issues, not the SSD. //@Anonymous: most complaints are from 2TB version. it seem 2TB ones got lots of failures. so please check and do more research before purchasing them.

i bought three 4tb and two 2tb of them as a photographer, i fill them on a daily basis....2tb are dead, didnt even make it 6 months, before files went missing or corrupt. two of the 4tb developed same issues just took 9-10 months....sandisk replaced them all, and i sold the new ones they sent me. changed over to a usb-c nvme enclosure and nvme drives, no issues. //@Anonymous: Just because most people bought 2TB version. Just bought this brand but a RGB version from Bestbuy. Bestbuy is selling the RGB version for $160, while most of other sellers are selling for ~$230. Bought on 1/8/21, says pick up on 1/19/21. Performance-wise, it about the same as the Yeti Pro, but the RGB one is more beautiful I think.
