I have this exact Jig Saw. It's not very easy to operate. It shakes a lot, hard to cut. Not sure if more expensive ones would be better.

I bought a very, very old, metal jig saw for couple bucks from a flee market and I have to say that is is much, much better than all of the (cheap) plastic ones I have. I bought the same model at the same price a month ago and returned it after a couple of trials. Basically the blade wobbled so much during the operation so that it was difficult to make a straight cut.

I wonder if replacing the stock blade (strongly recommended whenever you buy a tool) would improve the jigsaw's performance.
