Maintenance will be high. Cartridges are more expensive!

Go for a Ink tank printer if you use your printer on a regular basis. Initial cost will be high, but maintenance will be very low. I was using Canon Pixma printer for many years.. printer was good but you need to change the expensive cartridges frequently. Now I moved to 'Epson EcoTank ET-2760 Special Edition All-in-One Printer with Bonus Black Ink'.. bought this on sale at Sam's club.. you can get it in Costco as well to get the additional Black ink. Printed more than 1000 pages and still the tanks shows more than half ink in them. :)
More useful when you have toddlers at home and they are asking for prints for their activities during this pandemic times. //@anonymous: Maintenance will be high. Cartridges are more expensive!

Thanks for the heads up.
Are you sure this PIXMA TR4520 cannot use generic cartridges?
Do you have a link for the generics for the MX922?

Absolutely true. I got epson et-3750 Sep 2019 from costco for ~$300 and have printed 6000+ pages before changing the black ink. The color ones are still half full. One of the good purchases I made. Before that, I used four cheap printers and had been struggling with ink refilling cost. //@Anonymous: Go for a Ink tank printer if you use your printer on a regular basis.
