Harry
I still see the $49.98. Try changing your store zip code to a different store. Store 1277 has the price. //@anonymous: Is there a coupon code or something? shows as $87.98

It leaks the chain lubricant pretty bad. Otherwise a decent tool.

Usually $100 from Home Depot and easier to return (if it doesn’t work) compared to eBay. It does leak oil, very light, only need one hand to operate; this is good when working on a ladder.

I have this exact Jig Saw. It's not very easy to operate. It shakes a lot, hard to cut. Not sure if more expensive ones would be better.

I bought a very, very old, metal jig saw for couple bucks from a flee market and I have to say that is is much, much better than all of the (cheap) plastic ones I have. (I rarely use it because I'm not sure if it meets today safety standard.) //@Anonymous: I have this exact Jig Saw. It's not very easy to operate. It shakes a lot, hard to cut. I bought the same model at the same price a month ago and returned it after a couple of trials. Basically the blade wobbled so much during the operation so that it was difficult to make a straight cut.

I wonder if replacing the stock blade (strongly recommended whenever you buy a tool) would improve the jigsaw's performance.
