This IS because of tariffs. More products are shipped to the US stocking in warehouses in the attempt to avoid tariffs. //@anonymous: what happened to tariff

256G is too small. iOS, photo and video will take a lot of disk

It really depends, MacOS takes much less space compare to Windows 11. For reference, I have an 2018 MBP, macOS takes 12GB and applications takes 65GB. So if you are not using the laptop for storage purpose, 256G is likely enough.
Obviously we'd rather have 512GB if the price is right.., What I am saying is, while 256 GB is a show-stopper for Windows machine, it may not be so for a Mac //@Anonymous: 256G is too small. iOS, photo and video will take a lot of disk

how about picture and video? Really no difference compare to Windows.
256G is way too tiny!
Apple sale this item, the goal is to earn your iCloud subscription for storage. //@Anonymous: It really depends, MacOS takes much less space compare to Windows 11. The target of the 256GB base model is making the price of 512 GB or 1TB Mac looks more reasonable. //@anonymous: 256G is too small. iOS, photo and video will take a lot of disk

You technically should be storing data in a more robust place anyway... //@Anonymous: how about picture and video? Really no difference compare to Windows.
