My son earned $400 by doing car wash, building website, taking care of dog. And he chose this. I thought it was way too expensive, but he really wanted it. He loves it.

If a kid works so hard to earn something, then they've earned even more by learning the value of work. It's not reealy a "deal" and is retail price, but this one of those sets that will be retiring this year so if there's any interest in it, get it now. Once it's gone, it'll go up in price...how much depends on demand but it WILL be more later. //@Anonymous: I don't see any discount. Lego sells it for the same price. Why is this a deal?
