On sale now at Stop & Shop supermarkets for $3.24 for the identical product, which is pretty much their standard price. Don't assume because Amazon is ripping people off by charging three times more, that Amazon any longer reflects reality.

If Samsung's market share is more than double of others, then it's normal the repair guy does 2x Samsung than others.

I had issues with this model. After 2 years it started making strange noises, thought the drum was out. You can get service only through Samsung authorized shops. The bill was $100 for visit + $100 for labor $35 for parts (one wheel). Total $235. After only two years of normal use for a family of 3. When I tried to post a one star review on JCPenny's website where I bought it, the review was rejected, keeping the the product's overall rating artificially high.
Keep this in mind. Good luck if you decide to get it.

Try Magtag or Whirlpool. Their washers are not bullet proof, but easy to repair yourself. To me that is good enough. //@Anonymous: I had issues with this model. When it comes to reviews and ratings its very tricky not sure which one to believe. LG have high rating Consumer reports but the users ratings in the same site is so bad. //@Anonymous: Have 2 sets Samsung washer and dryer. Both dryer failed with 4 years. Samsung (and its retailers) seems to be blocking more of the negative consumer reviews from being posted.. //@Anonymous: When it comes to reviews and ratings its very tricky not sure which one to believe. Samsung beats up the customers who tried to sue them too. Check the news, Samsung pays gangsters to stop people from suing them. //@Anonymous: Samsung (and its retailers) seems to be blocking more of the negative consumer reviews from being posted.. //@Anonymous: When it comes to reviews and ratings its very tricky not sure which one to believe.
