Orders failed to come through twice. First didn’t get the correct credit for trade-in. Second time, the order got stuck somewhere and Verizon asked me to reorder. Bad service over and over again.

I saw a lot of complaints online about the soles of ECCO shoes suddenly degrading and breaking.

That is true but not evry pair. You have to believe it. Ecco has no explanation on that but after 10 years you should toss the old shoes in any way. //@anonymous: I saw a lot of complaints online about the soles of ECCO shoes suddenly degrading and breaking.

I don't agree with you. Excessive use and bending are understandable, but this shouldn't be the case. I have more than 20 pairs of ECCO shoes, and at least half of them have had their soles suddenly degraded and fallen off. All of them look 95% new, with almost no signs of wear on the soles. Some of them are even brand new and have never been worn. What brand to buy is a personal choice. I am merely providing my first-hand information for other consumers to refer to. //@Anonymous: That is true but not evry pair. You have to believe it. At first I thought only the low-end ECCO shoes that cost less than $150 had problems, but then several pairs of shoes that cost around $200 also had broken soles. Some of these fell off completely, and more of these fell on the carpet like dried mud. I wear shoes very carefully. When the season changes, I wipe all the shoes I don't wear and put them in the original packaging. I admit that many shoes here are more than 5 years old, but what I don't understand is how shoes can break faster than socks? Even Adidas and Nike shoes that cost only dozens of dollars don't have this problem that brand new shoes that have never been worn broke on the second day.

If they broke on the second day they are under warranty. If broke 5 years later without being worn and sitting in their orignal packaging they shouldn't have been bought in the first place. The shoes are doing you a favor by having you throw them out at that point.

it is the materials Ecco used and it happened on one pair made in Slovakia. All other pairs hold up so far.

You are right. I am quite specific. Once I identify a brand, I will keep buying it. I am also quite careful with clothes and shoes. The reason why I buy a lot of ECCO shoes (not only for myself, but also for my family) is also a personal hobby. In fact, ECCO shoes are the most suitable choice for me after comprehensive comparison of appearance, cost performance, etc. for many years. I have flat feet and my feet are very thin. Among the formal shoes, only ECCO fits my foot shape. Speaking of quality issues, ECCO itself admitted that there was a problem with the formula, so at least before January 1 this year, no matter how long ago you bought it, as long as you send it for evaluation and it is considered to have quality problems, you will be replaced with a new one. But the current policy is 1 year. In other words, if a similar situation occurs, you have no choice but to throw it away. //@Anonymous: If they broke on the second day they are under warranty. To be honest, I feel the prices (maybe some of the items) are lower than a couple of years ago. A 75 inch TV is less than $400. Goodyear tire is $59 each (205/55R16). I don't know what people are complaining for. //@Anonymous: You may picked from market place. Why anyone would go out of the way to post a complaint here simply does not make sense if you are just a consumer. //@anonymous: You may picked from market place.
