I used an old solid core door for my workbench top. The only odd thing about it is the hole from the doorknob.

Not a bad idea to add an clamp to hold pieces for grinding or filing. //@anonymous: I used an old solid core door for my workbench top. The only odd thing about it is the hole from the doorknob.

Is it okay to use this as a computer desk in my home office? I mean, will people laugh at it?

I'm so confused. Why is an ordinary piece of wood has the same price of a 2TB SSD. Is it because of the shipping cost?

If you need a 72" wide desk, it's fine. You might want to finish it though. //@Anonymous: Is it okay to use this as a computer desk in my home office? I mean, will people laugh at it?

Well, SSD can be mass produced, but real wood need many years to grow the tree. you simply can not produce a big enough real tree quickly. That is the reason why desk top is more expensive than electricics. //@anonymous: I'm so confused. Why is an ordinary piece of wood has the same price of a 2TB SSD. No one plant trees in north America. We just take them from the nature. There are more trees in the forests than people can consume here. //@Anonymous: Well, SSD can be mass produced, but real wood need many years to grow the tree. you simply can not produce a big enough real tree quickly. Vigoro mulch this year is not the same as before. Now it is fine mulch instead of wood chunks/nuggets.

I have noticed that since the outbreak of COVID-19, there has been an increase in the prices of goods and services, indicating a decline in their quality. //@Anonymous: Vigoro mulch this year is not the same as before. Now it is fine mulch instead of wood chunks/nuggets.
