There are 2 design flaws with this rice cooker that I found to be a deal breaker.
1) Lid cannot be removed to be washed. Have to be wiped down.
2) Water level markers are hardly visible after you put rice and water into the rice pot.

I've had this same Tiger model for about 3 years until the exterior got damaged when I moved. I then brought a Zojirushi, but honestly like my old Tiger better. The Zojirushi cooks rice in about an hour and the tiger cooks in about 25 minutes. I don't notice any difference in the taste or texture of the rice. The lid doesn't come off the Tiger but wiping it down is very easy. I've no issue with the water mark at all. //@anonymous: There are 2 design flaws with this rice cooker that I found to be a deal breaker.

Zojirushirice rice cooker's lid can be removed but the attachment "button" holding the lid would break off easily after a few years. About markers problem, we always use measuring cup to measure rice and water. It's more reliable than depending on markers inside the inner pot. //@Anonymous: There are 2 design flaws with this rice cooker that I found to be a deal breaker.

I have MacBook Pro M1. Display stopped working just after 1 year. Apple refused to do anything since already exceeded one year, also extended warranty from my credit card does not work since a evalluation from Apple will be reired but Apple said that there are some dent on the lid.

I regret getting the M2 version. I should have bought the M1 Pro version (same amount of ram and disk). It only costs $100 more and the performance is much better.

If 256G was not a single module like M1 Air, this is a great choice, but since it is not, go either m1 air or m1 pro, depending on your needs. I got both, one for my daughter and one for me, and yes, I tried M2 256G and M2 512G, but the former is slow, the latter is too expensive compared to its capability.
