If it doesn’t affect performance, why do you care the RAM is 8 or 16 GB? Value for the money should not be judged based on specifications/configuration. //@anonymous: 256GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM; 1TB 16GB RAM, 2TB 16GB RAM

You need to understand how Apple’s unified memory architecture works and how “8 GB” is split between GPU and CPU. So when you are providing 8 gb for 11” and same 8 gb for 13”, is 11” M4 overpowered and is a better value or is 13” m4 underpowered and needs more memory.
