I just ordered two generic toners for $20. They work great. Bought this printer three years ago at a cheaper price. No problem at all.

Is this one refurbished or brand new?

Very old printer, but does it job. No duplex. Okay for the price. Many stores have accumulated a lot of inventories in order to hype the price. They have to sell hard next year.

Bought it almost 8 years ago about $20 from staples. Believe it or not it's still working with the ancient original toner cartridge!

Works with Linux? Particularly Arch Linux, which I use BTW.

toner is only 1600 pages, so you print less than 10 pages per year? //@dealdo: Bought it almost 8 years ago about $20 from staples. Believe it or not it's still working with the ancient original toner cartridge!

very good deal. it is print-copy-scan mini all-in-1. Two things need to know before purchase: 1. no feeder for scan, 2. No internal paper holder. Beyond that it is a great for home office use.

I would have pointed out that it is monochrome and it is not a network printer (USB only) since I ended up checking to why this wouldn’t have a paper holder (it does and it’s 150 page max). //@anonymous: very good deal. it is print-copy-scan mini all-in-1. That one does not have the top feeder. I have it. Not sure its worth another 100 unless your business does a lot of copying //@anonymous: Similar one was $99 in Walmart a few months ago

After two decades of laser printers, I will be switching to these inkjets once the laser toners run out. Laser cartridges are cheaper but are not environmentally friendly. Life should be in color :)

While inkjet printers produce up to 85 percent less carbon dioxide than those of comparable laser printers, the inkjet cartridge is the issue. Usually, inkjet printers run out of ink more frequently than laser printer and thus create more cartridge waste than laser printers. There is no such thing as a free lunch. //@jj0915: After two decades of laser printers, I will be switching to these inkjets once the laser toners run out. Yes avoid cartridges at all cost - pun intended :) These tank style inkjets don't use cartridges though and that's what I am getting... //@Anonymous:
