Depends on what features you are after. The Nvidia Shield remains the only streaming box on the market which can handle direct audio passthrough of both DTS:X and Dolby Atmos audio streams. 2019 version also features AI enhanced upscaling. //@Anonymous: Apple TV is better and surprisingly cheaper.

Roku can do AirPlay now (I do it on a 4K stick and our Roku TV) but there's a good 500ms latency. Apple TV is much faster and more reliable if you plan on doing a lot of AirPlay. //@Anonymous: Roku can connect iphone. //@Anonymous: I love appletv since I can connect all my iPads, iphones to a bigger TV screen. If China made cars are allowed into USA, we should see better vehicle market in the great favor of American customers as what we see now in the TV's.
