These multi-tools are ok at a lot of things but not "great" at any of them.

What the heck is the point of this comment? Do you try to hammer things with a screwdriver? People are not idiots. If space is valuable so is this tool when on a project that needs any of these tools. //@anonymous: These multi-tools are ok at a lot of things but not "great" at any of them.

In fact, he has a good point and may have actually used it. I have this. The problem is it only works where a Swiss knife can already handle it just fine (which is smaller than this), however, wherever Swiss knife can not handle it, neither this one. You end up looking for the proper screwdriver or plier. So my experience, do not bother with this one. It is good on the idea but short on function. //@Anonymous: What the heck is the point of this comment? Do you try to hammer things with a screwdriver? People are not idiots. Be very thoughtful of buying a battery powered "generator". It usually can only power applications very short period compared to say gasoline powered one. Here is an ideal estimation:
4 40V 4Ah batteries give a total 640Wh energy. Assuming 0% energy loss during 40V to 110V conversion, it can power a 1000W output for 0.64 hour only.

The Craftsman stud finder (CMHT77633) is only $7.48 and gets (slightly) better reviews, and a lot more of them. I have one and it works really well. On the other hand, I previously had a Stanley stud finder and wow, it felt like that was a prank -- it would seriously beep at random and could not reliably identify studs at all.

I have the Franklin M70. It has multiple LEDs so it helps you confirm you are somewhere in the middle of the stud with some width on either side.
