Purchased on Saturday, arrived on Sunday. Color looks superior to the TCL 65" set sitting next to it. Just as responsive, not laggy. Definitely a keeper for $360 after 5 year warranty and tax.

The fact remains that Sony is superior to Hisense when it comes to TVs. But it's also true that brand name matters less than ever before. A high end Hisense can be much better than a similarly priced, low end Sony //@anonymous: Boomer!! Its 21st century!! //@anonymous: SONY tv is the best! Why buy this kind of TV

Can we use it as a monitor?

Anonymous
Technically you can but TV is not the monitor. //@anonymous: Can we use it as a monitor?

You definitely can, but you will be regret, lol //@Anonymous: Can we use it as a monitor?
Anonymous
TV can be used as monitor only occasionally. There are many articles on the related issues. Short answer is: TV is not designed to be used as monitor.
Anonymous
I would recommend getting a 35 inch ultrawide monitor instead of buying a 43 inch TV and use as a monitor. Monitor and TV aspect ratio are different. Refresh rate for TV is lower than monitor and also you would sit ~ 1 1/2 to 2 feet away from monitor. TV is designed to sit ~ ten feet away. //@Anonymous: Can we use it as a monitor?

I used Samsung 4k 32inch TV as monitor and don't like it all as monitor but good as bedroom TV.

Yes you can. If you just write some code, words, emails. It is perfectly fine.make sure your HDMI port supports 4k.

You can use it as a Kindle reader.

Refresh Rate is just @60hz for a 4K..hmm cant imagine how slow it can be as I have insignia at the same refresh rate also happens to be a fire TV and its damn slow even for guest room.
Anonymous
the refresh rate of 60Hz is enough for regular work, not for games. But the response time on TV is very slow, i.e. the latency between the action you take until the change you see on screen, you will feel lots of lags like in a remote desktop environment. For TV, the latency is fine since who cares whether the video is a few hundreds of milliseconds delay? As long as it plays smoothly. //@Anonymous: Refresh Rate is just @60hz for a 4K..hmm cant imagine how slow it can be as I have insignia at the same refresh rate also happens to be a fire TV and its damn slow even for guest room.

This is the older model. Consider getting a refurbished model from the Apple Certified Refurbished store for just $109. It's a great way to get a like-new device at a lower cost.

It’s the previous 4K but still very suitable for many, if not most, ATV users. New remote + 4K ATV at this price is really good. //@anonymous: This is the older model. It is the recently lowered regular price everywhere. Not lower from any retailer selling the item, unless you go for refurbished or used. Again, no deal. There was an actual deal ($300+ less than price advertised here) from BuyDig a few days ago for LG TVs including this one and others.
