Why don't you change the rules in western countries? //@anonymous: We were not allowed to use any calculator (even simple shopkeeper’s) in 9th-12th grade, we did PDE, curves by hand.

unfortunately this is how US education system works. Most US high schools use this particular calculator, teachers provide commands based on this calculator, so even lets say Casio has same capability or better for half the price, students don't want to mess up and try to figure themselves how to use that. The mere size of this thing is stupid for the functionality, clearly behind Casio systems.

I reported the issue to Amazon customer service, and a representative contacted the seller on my behalf. The seller then initiated a return process and also told me that they had already shipped a replacement, which I should receive in 3–5 days. However, I waited for more than a week and the replacement never arrived. As a result, I shipped the glue stick back at my own expense and provided the tracking number to the seller. At this point, I just want a full refund. I have completely lost trust in this seller. //@Anonymous: Same here got a glue stick. Did they send it to you again? Yes, after the company sent me an email and said will ship the item again in 3-5 business days. Gave them 2 weeks and didn’t receive it. So contacted Amazon again and they claimed A-to-Z Guarantee and I got refund back in 2/3days

Just a quick update. I shipped the glue stick back as I mentioned, and from my Amazon account I could see the seller approved the return. But there was no refund status showing, and after waiting another week I still did not get my money back. So this past Saturday I contacted Amazon customer service again, and the representative filed an Amazon A-to-z Guarantee claim for me. A couple of minutes ago I received a message that my credit card got the refund, but the return shipping cost was not included. I believe if you are facing the same issue with the seller, just contact Amazon directly. According to customer service, you don’t even need to ship the glue stick back to get the refund. In my humble opinion, Amazon did a great job handling this.

True, you basically have to spend 1600+ or else you are buying subpar equipment that will fail in 3 years //@anonymous: Apple no longer sells to the low income market. Not surprising to hear people complain that they can't afford it. But if you can afford it, it's an incredible value.

Very much agree! //@Anonymous: 8GB kills the deal.

Apple doesn’t do that. That sounds like a Lenovo strategy //@anonymous: They want the chip to overheat and fry so they can sell more mb’s in 3-4 years //@anonymous: Ram is so cheap these days but still Apple sells a premium price laptop with only 8GB. And that is suppose to be a deal.

Now, as you know, apple chips are not getting much better, partly because of lack of good engineers and the slow improvement over the 3/4nm node. So... getting M1 pro instead may be a better idea.

Previous gen M1 processors are a better value and should be more than sufficient for 70-80% of all users. If anything, Apple has bad marketing. No professional user is going to buy the MB with low specs, and no average user is going to spend $1.2K+ on it either. They should have significantly lowered the price, or not have an option with 8GB RAM/256GB storage.

1), M1 is super fast with no heat. 2), Mac is very efficient in using memory. I am a programmer converted from PC to MAC ~ 10 years ago, never look back. Of course, I bought a MacBook Pro, but I got a M1 MacBook Air for my son, he is very happy about it.

Ram doesn’t make the computers run faster. It makes you open more programs at once. The cpu clock makes the computer runs faster. ( i7 12700 has 5ghz clock, it makes the computer run faster than i5 cpu) You need to understand the basic functions first. //@anonymous: Ram is ram, built-in make it faster but that doesn’t make it larger //@anonymous: With M processors RAM is IN the M2 processor. Not entirely true. When you run out of ram, which is relatively easy to do with only 8gb,the computer is forced to use swap space which is basically your ssd drive. Swapping memory pages in and out of disk is slow. I'd much rather have a slightly slower cpu with more memory. //@anonymous: Ram doesn’t make the computers run faster. Your computer RAM is essentially short term memory where data is stored as the processor needs it. This isn't to be confused with long-term data that's stored on your hard drive, which stays there even when your computer is turned off.(info wouldn’t stay the your ram, the temporally memory pages are always on your SSD.) //@anonymous: Not entirely true. If all you do is browser based apps, word processing, YouTube, Facebook and social media consumption. Then this is more than enough. If you make 4K videos and are a YouTuber, then it wont be. Can do it…but will take a while.

A lot of discounts on Apple products recently. M2 is their newest CPU and those laptops already on sale. Tough revenue quarter I suppose. Time of huge profits seems to be gone.
