I'm assuming your driving record is less than ideal //@Anonymous: Who can afford EV insurance? On average Tesla insurance is 3-4000 a year

What is the reference for the reduced cost of Chevy Bolt starting Jan 1st 2023? GM already reduced the price by 6300 in 2022.

Not everyone can afford a Tesla. if you can that's great and go buy one but keep your mouth shut. //@anonymous: Nah.. to cheap. Tesla is better

There is NO INCOME LIMIT(Unless you are the top 10 percent earner. Like single and make more than 125k/year or married and household make more than 250k/year) BUT the credit is NOT REFUNDABLE. in other words, if your 2023 income tax is only $5000. the Max credit you get is $5000. //@anonymous: Is there an income limit to qualify for the credit?

By anonymous on 12/25/2022, 05:59 PM EST
Oregon had additional $7500 credit for low income. That is $15000 off for low income. Plus $500 costco discount. And there are some discount for home 220v charger too.

Yeah yeah, same people wanted to move to Canada but seems they're still here. Get a life. //@Anonymous: After the Twitter chaos, Tesla is handing out big incentives to keep orders. People call in to cancel citing CEO's poor behavior, and Tesla offers them up to 10000 miles on the Supercharging network and/or an amount off the MSRP of the car to keep the order. One guy got an additional 3k off MSRP and 10000 miles worth of charge for free.

This is not true. Insurance on my Tesla Model 3 has been around $350/6 months for the four plus years I have owned it. //@Anonymous: That's because Tesla vehicles can be totaled easily due to shortage of used parts, expensive new parts, and restrictions on where they can be fixed. Any other electric vehicle like the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Volt, and BMW i3 will be much easier and cheaper to insure. Tesla does not represent all electric vehicles just like crappy Fiats don't represent gas vehicles. //@anonymous: Who can afford EV insurance? On average Tesla insurance is 3-4000 a year

By anonymous on 12/24/2022, 07:29 PM EST
Tesla announced a $3500 discount and later increased it to $7500 discount along with 10K super charger miles on Model 3/Y as a way to ensure people with existing orders take delivery before Dec 31 and not push their delivery to 2022 to qualify for the $7500 electric vehicle credit from Inflation Reduction Act which becomes effective Jan 1, 2022. This deal was so good they have sold out most of their Model 3/y inventory. //@Anonymous: After the Twitter chaos, Tesla is handing out big incentives to keep orders. I leased a bolt and have droved 25k. It's quick little car but tall inside. Sit more comfortable than Tesla 3 for tall people. I drove mostly highway but still can get 4.6 miles per kw. If mostly local, it can easily over 5 m/kw. The major drawback is it's too light and not stable if over 70 on freeway. Most value for local.

Tesla only. You will regret if you not buy a Tesla.

Misleading on MSRP.
The 2022 model year bolt had a 6300 dollar higher MSRP but there's a 6300 dollar rebate from Chevy. The MSRP isn't changing on 1/1/2023 it changed for the 2023 model year and those cars have been trickling in to dealers for months already. What is resetting is the tax credit on 1/1/2023 you might get 7500, 3750, or 0000.

Bolt is crap, a friend of mine bought one and had so many problems he traded it in literally for nothing after 6 months just so he can get another car.

Is bolt suv good? Interested in getting one if good

By Harry on 12/23/2022, 04:07 PM EST
MSRP also will drop, Bolt also normally qualifies for Half of the credit ($3750) because it doesn't meet requirements for the battery source but the US Treasury is delaying until around 03/2023 so the best and only time to get $7500 Credit is from Jan - March 2023. //@Anonymous: so what's the special on the price? The $7500 tax credit is regular.
