I agree the other comments about their customer service. I stay away from them at all cost.

Their customer service is horrible. I can't believe they are still in business.

It's purely an advertising gimmick.
No one with that kind of money would buy from Ashford, right?
And you and I don't have the cash to call their bluff.
In the meantime, they create an impression of being high-end, which works on many.
I myself have known people to buy from Ashford for a little (lot) more, stating that they'd rather pay a little extra and get genuine product instead of saving a little elsewhere and chance getting suspect product.
