I don't know if this is a good deal, given S20 is out. These have been the prices on and off before the S20 released

$600 is a decent price for S10. All phones should be priced below $500. Apple and Samsung are price gouging.

Avoid the first gen 5G phone. Not worth the money and it will operate in 4G in most of the time and areas in US. You will have much more choices on 5G phone next year with much less money //@anonymous:

People don't realize that the BOM (bill of materials) is very high for these flagship phones. Galaxy S10+'s BOM is $420. Galaxy S20 has a better display and will probably cost about $450 to make. If you factor in the R&D/Sales/Marketing/Logistics/warranty/return cost, Samsung probably needs to sell S20 (not +) at $750 ~ $800 to break even. //@anonymous: way too expensive. My issues with Sammy - 1)too much preinstalled bloatware, 2) no security updates beyond 2 yrs, 3) very late OS updates if you combine that with carrier checks and approvals 4) phone laggy within 1 to 1.5 yr of purchase.

Yeah - people make stuff up. I still have an S7 and receive security updates and the phone is fine. While I won't splurge for the S20, I might make the move to the S9 or 10. //@Anonymous: People don't realize that the BOM (bill of materials) is very high for these flagship phones. Where do you find the numbers of BOMs? //@Anonymous: People don't realize that the BOM (bill of materials) is very high for these flagship phones. Galaxy S10+'s BOM is $420. Also Galaxy s10 5G as well as iphone 11 pro's BOMs are both around $500. So you see the price is actually reasonable when people want to buy the flagship phones.
Similarly, cars from BMW, AUDI, MB and more luxury brands has a BOM about 50% of the MSRP, i.e., 100% gross margin.
We always have the choose to choose a mid-tier phones or cars to enjoy a better price-to-performane ratio. //@anonymous: Where do you find the numbers of BOMs? //@Anonymous: People don't realize that the BOM (bill of materials) is very high for these flagship phones. The S20 Ultra costs $1400 without tax, you just get up to $900 back, it is not Bogo free. Still have to pay 3k to get the phones.

I wouldn’t jump into the first gen 5G cellphone. Next year you have much more choices and lower price on the 5G cellphones. For now the 5G cellphones more likely will operate on the 4G systems in the US.

I purchased an s9 from BH at (at good price) and after 1 year I had a problem with the connector port. Long story short, after calls to samsung and BH I found out that the phone was build for the Ulkranian market and samsung (and authorized shops) would not touch it since the phone is not 100% the same (versus American market version). BH said that since it had passed the 1year warranty, I could not send it to them for repair. So I am left with a phone that can only charge with a wireless charger. Do some research and make sure this phone can be repaired in the US.
