I'm assuming your driving record is less than ideal //@Anonymous: Who can afford EV insurance? On average Tesla insurance is 3-4000 a year

By Anonymous, 1 year ago

What is the reference for the reduced cost of Chevy Bolt starting Jan 1st 2023? GM already reduced the price by 6300 in 2022.

By Anonymous, 1 year ago

Not everyone can afford a Tesla. if you can that's great and go buy one but keep your mouth shut. //@anonymous: Nah.. to cheap. Tesla is better

There is NO INCOME LIMIT(Unless you are the top 10 percent earner. Like single and make more than 125k/year or married and household make more than 250k/year) BUT the credit is NOT REFUNDABLE. in other words, if your 2023 income tax is only $5000. the Max credit you get is $5000. //@anonymous: Is there an income limit to qualify for the credit?

By Anonymous, 1 year ago

Oregon had additional $7500 credit for low income. That is $15000 off for low income. Plus $500 costco discount. And there are some discount for home 220v charger too.

By writing off the lease, they get tax deduction. However if you buy, you can also deduct $0.575/mile, which will end up in similar amount if it's not a super expensive car //@Anonymous: Buying is always the best option but business owners say they can write off leases and depreciation. I don’t really think that makes much financial sense. Best thing to do is drive an old car until the wheels fall off. //@anonymous: Why not just buy?

Sorry, that deal is regional. I updated: $2959 Down + $281/month for 36-Months but it is YMMV. I added the New York dealer link as an example. Ends up being $281/month vs $284/mo (with $0 due) as originally posted. Chrysler Website advertises $2999 due and $279/month for 36-months. Best to make a quote and see what dealers in your area offers you. //@anonymous: How did you find 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid deal? There is nothing like that.

I'm trying to figure out how to make it work in New York. Somehow the dealership always throws in some form of a catch.

Actually you can’t find this deal at all. It requires a lot of things.

3 year lease will be well within the factory warranty and most insurance company offer very reasonable lease gap insurance as an option to your standard car insurance policy //@Anonymous: Don't forget to let your Chevy dealer screw you over with an extended warranty and GAP insurance on your lease. I do not think there is an income limit for EV federal tax credit. There is a limit for the number of uses per manufacturer. Because it also helps the manufacturer sell more cars it is not fair for one company get the most of the advantage. Tesla has already benefitted from this credit and passed the limit, so if you buy a Tesla you cannot get a federal tax credit. Same for Chevrolet and General motor EV vehicles. Search for "EV federal tax credits" and you will see a link to Fueleconomy (goverment site) with list of cars and federal tax credit eligibility. //@zhengbinx: The federal EV credit has an income limit, right? Also this credit does not equal to the tax refund.

By Anonymous, 3 years ago

Because those will be released in 2023 //@Anonymous: Why ther is no ID4

By Anonymous, 3 years ago

Well said. As a fellow EV owner I agree with you. I was literally in turtle mode with 3 miles left after I reach home although I wasn't too scared as I have enough experience on capabilities of the car. Came back home and now I have 80% battery. //@Anonymous: I own a Tesla and a home charger. I also have 2 superchargers and several other DC fast charging stations in my city. For the most part, I really like the car. It's zippy and low on maintenance. But, I strongly suggest that if you are in the market for an electric car, only go with a car that has a minimum of 300 miles rated capacity. If you can't afford it, just don't buy one yet. Batteries lose capacity if you have to park at an airport (especially in winters) and this can be rather annoying for those who need to. Also, you can't really charge batteries to 100% for daily use, just 80%, so your "real" available range for a 300 mile car is 240 miles. And with all the weather and inclines and driving practices, you'll get 220 miles of real world range for daily driving, which is still way more than enough if you have a charger in your city or at home so don't let that number panic you. Just something to keep in mind. For super long trips, absolutely charge it to 100% so your range will jump to 275 ish in real world conditions.

Another thing to note - Tesla superchargers are much faster than other brands and Tesla chargers only work on Teslas. Buy non-Teslas at your own risk.

By Anonymous, 3 years ago

Totally agree. I want to add that if you only have one car, think twice before you go with an EV. But if you have two cars, I can't think of any reason one of them shouldn't be an EV. //@Anonymous: I own a Tesla and a home charger. I also have 2 superchargers and several other DC fast charging stations in my city. For the most part, I really like the car. It's zippy and low on maintenance. depends how good a deal you are getting. Not always bad though //@Anonymous: lease is only good for those don't have a plan to live, otherwise its not a smart spending, at all. 200/mo for 36 is $7200+tax= $8000 + $3000 down, $11000 for a small car you never owned

And here I am looking for a minivan deal to fit my family.

if you really are rich, not fake, go Cadillac. //@Anonymous: Had an iPhone in 07. It was awesome. Have a Tesla now and put 18k miles on it in 6mo. Still awesome.

Try it before judging. And try not to let your biases cloud your judgement. Remember to add in you annual fuel cost when doing the math. Electricity is cheap in comparison. We drive a lot and gas is crazy expensive here in CA. It was a no brainer. //@anonymous: Buying electric cars now just like people bought iPhones in 2007. It's not ready for the prime time yet.

By Anonymous, 4 years ago

I agree - EV are close, but still not for the masses, if you judging only on $ ROI. But if you aspire to help shaping humanity's future during your short stay with that lot, there are some pieces of history you want to be part of, and be inspired. I am like the reader before, iphone in 07 and a Tesla model S now. Not born with money, but learned quickly that just saving, being employed, and following what everyone does, is not how you live an interesting life - by my standards. Anyway - Bolt is a fine car, yes a bit small, but the price is great and if this is the second car in the family, it can be a great buy. //@Anonymous: Had an iPhone in 07. It was awesome. C'mon fellas don't misuse this offer.. the guys at Hyundai and the dealership have bills to pay as well. If you are genuinely looking to buy a car please make use of this..

By Anonymous, 4 years ago

Did this a few years ago and the guy at the dealership said he would email me the gift card and it never came. Called the dealership 3 times with nothing but being pushed on to someone else. Don't waste your time!

By Anonymous, 4 years ago

Went to a local deadlership this morning, did a test drive, and hand over the printed coupon to the salesman. When I arrived home, the $50 giftcard is already in my emailbox. Thanks, Dealsea!

By Anonymous, 4 years ago

Maybe not a scam from Hyundai, but most likely a scam from the dealerships. I went to a dealer in Long Beach, test drove the car and asked the sale person for his business card and he said he didn't have it. He said he will email me his contact info and nothing ever happened. I called back to Hyundai and the lady said she will call me back in 5 business days. I have my GPS showed I went that day and told her to check dealer's camera.

it might runs smooth but the safety features are out dated. Also, how is the running and maintenance costs? How much is the regular oil change come up? I had to spend 3000 or more per year after 3 years for similar car and decided to go to Toyota for resale value, safety, etc. //@Anonymous: I bought a new bmw in 2000.still it runs nice and smooth. Please I want deals on Honda. Honda is better than Toyota.

By Anonymous, 5 years ago

No deal. When I bought my last prius, I got a total of 7500 cash back. 4k from toyota and 3.5k from dealer.

By Anonymous, 5 years ago

No you can't. Sales prices are based on the location of the purchase since the car has to be registered there. If that were not the case, most people would buy a car in a state with no sales tax (ex. Oregon) and drive it back to their home state and save a ton of money. //@Anonymous: If I buy a new car in NY and drive back. Can I still get the $4000 rebate?

By Anonymous, 5 years ago

Well, don't forget the extra excise tax collected at the highest valuation if you buy a new year model. And the insurance overpaid. You can easily lose more if you keep being a gnat. //@Anonymous: I don't really recommend buying cars at the year end because you lose one year of resale depreciation automatically. Try using KBB to quote the difference between a 4-year and 5-year old car, and key in the difference in negotiation. This should be around 1000-1500

The politically correct term is "Native Americans". But what does that have to do with Honda? //@Anonymous: Indians //@anonymous: Honda is hands down the best. Why are there so rarely sales on Honda vehicles?

By Anonymous, 5 years ago

Tesla can be had for far less than $80k. Too bad they're trying to kill the incentives (still don't understand why we continue to subsidize oil, as it's ridiculously profitable on its own). Also, cost of ownership stands a great chance of being orders of magnitude less over time. There isn't a lot of data on that yet, though. //@Anonymous: No point in buying a Tesla financially speaking. Just a flashy toy at this point. Fuel only costs around 2-3k per year. I need to wait a lot of years to justify $80k car sticker price..

I like and use dealsea quite a bit; but posting these deals without stating the required initial down payment is garbage. If initial payment is $0, state this. Otherwise, if it is a typical number - $2000 or $3000- the equivalent monthly payment for a 36 or 39 months lease goes up roughly by $60 or $90, making the posted numbers, like I said, garbage.

WRONG! The accident had nothing to do with Hyundai. A 3rd party company called Phantom AI had MODIFIED a Hyundai with Phantom AI software and their software failed!
