dell sucks, bad quality, my acer is less than half of the price, better quality.

Dell monitor is not bad. I wish 30" on sale.

@11:51am: OMG, Acer makes the worst LCD monitors! Low contrast, poor color, narrow viewing angles, cheap material, minimal features. Did you say "Dell sucks" simply because you had one or two Dell monitors die on you? Generalizing based on such a small sample is absurd. This U2711 has an IPS panel and tons of features, none of which can be found on any Acer monitor.

Very good monitor, and have better price/performance compared with Apple 27 Cinema/thunder bolt display.

16:9 aspect ratio!!! Not a real monitor. Must be one of the cheaper stuff.

Acer's monitor is the worst I have ever had. It is cheap but it hurts your eyes.

This is a very good IPS monitor with 96% AdobeRGB coverage. Good for photo editing pros.

dell's very good for desktop accessories. just not for laptops, their battery lives are not good at all
