Can a win 7 32bit be upgraded to win 8 pro 64 bit? If so, that would be great.

you cannot upgrade but you can clean install, though I do not know if it has to be 32 -> 32 and 64-> 64

Don't do it!!!!! Windows 8 is horrible!!! the basic package doesn't come with anything useful, the interface is very user-unfriendly, and they didn't even have Windows Media Player anymore, you have to pay to get that now.. what's a Win8 laptop useful for anymore if I'd have to pay for the basic basic things an OS should be able to do (without the extra charges)... STAY WITH YOU WINDOWS 7 AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!!!

If you have an upgrade license of Windows OS, you can always do a clean installation. The trick is that: download the DVD iso and burn it into a disc. Fresh install the OS, but don't input the key, don't activate the copy, and do not install any system updates. Then from the OS system, run the installation again, and input the license this time, then your installation should be considered as the authentic copy.

I have no problemst with Vista, and Windows 7. I assume it should work with Windows 8 as well.
