Go to "SHOP RECOMMENDED" under overview. Remove or change "HP CARE PACK" to None. You can get the "AMD FX-8120 eight-core processor [3.1GHz, 8MB L2/8MB L3 Cache]" AND "2TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive" instead!!! Just try, not like they will honor it~

You can actually UPGRADE EVERYTHING with the same price. so... i did it with 2400 original price, now $106 after coupon after tax. probably gonna cancel it.

I just realize the reason of no customization--it will ship faster.

Who has received the cancellation email? I received the order confirmation email the early morning. Is it possible to have the order canceled after order confirmed?

I ordered a default built, pretty much the most basic one. ($699) Order has been dropped to factory, estimated ship date Aug 13. For those people who got declined or cancelled, what configuration did you ordered?

2) did you receive an email confirmation saying your order is shipped or did you actually make phone calls to HP rep and deal with it.

My order status was changed from "order accepted" to "order dropped to factory". I just made a video card upgrade which added $1.00. Hope HP will ship the order.

"Order dropped to factory" :)...I had upgraded the processor and hard drive but forgot to upgrade the video card :(...Nvidia is better than old ATI Radeon. Happy with the purchase. Thanks to whomever posted the link.

Did you have to pay for the "2-day" shipping option for $69.

These guys do not have commonsense. This is apparently a price error and excites them so high. If you are greedy and try to upgrade, most possibly got canceled first

Since coupon does not overlap with any other deals (xbox), I just tried to get something below $699, and something that original price and "after savings" price does not differ that much.
