The list prices are near $500 so this makes it a deal. References on Amazon also great. However, the tablet has been first released in 9/2011 and should be considered technically old. It looks like Skype does not work well on it. Correct me if I am wrong because this is a deal killer for me.

I own Sony S tablet 16gb paid exactly same amount as deal which is 32gb plus free cradle. My guess this price slash everywhere is b/c Sony might be releasing the newer version which I don't know. Yes, the tablet was first released in 9/2011 and should be considered technically old, however, you can upgrade to 4.03 android OS. Skype perfectly works on mine.

I rather go for a Google Nexus 7 if comapring with this price.

This is better than iPad. Right screen 9.2 inch, one inch bigger is clumsy. two inches smaller is not enough. Sony did a nice job in this than Apple, not seeing for years for Sony product
