Ipad1 easily beats duo core tegra 2. Old Droid table is very slow. Buy one to test for yourself.

It's not the tablet itself slow, It's the android system. Apple system is smoother than android.

Agree. I am one of those who bought early Xoom @599.99 (WiFi) which has 1GB RAM and dual core and of course slower than iPad 1 which has only 512 MB RAM and single core.

iPod looks way cooler at the coffee shop too. If you want people to think you're cool, you should take an iPod instead of XOOM.

You buy a coffee for each customer in the coffee shop. They will think you are much cooler than just using a IPAD.

Actually, only feels smoother/faster then an android system because the iPod/iPad ios focus all resources on the app youre interacting on the screen, placing all other apps running on the background w very low resources, almost in a frozen state. So true multitasking does not take place on the iPod/iPad device.

Imagine your car, losing gas, or cutting off the radio, or not break when you move the steering wheel or change the radio station. Very similar thing happens when you interact w the iPad/iPad.

Anyone w a little knowledge would opt for an Android based device.

To the guy commented on 07/21/2012, 08:21pm:

What are you trying to say? Trying to say too much without making people understand you is just like an Android tablet. Hey I can do so many things. I'm so cool, so cool, so c...crashed...

I have so many college kids like @08:21 in the electronics class I teach.. These kids just claim they know pretty much everything and my job is to convince them they do not know anything - which is called "illusion of knowing" in cognitive psychology.

Check this out:
"The iPhone changed things by introducing a dedicated thread with high priority for handling UI rendering, redirecting all power (CPU and GPU) to handling UI element rendering in realtime based on touch input. The result? Smooth-as-butter UI elements, transitions and animations as soon as you touch the screen -- even on older hardware when paired with the latest iOS 5 software. The drawback: everything else, from app downloads to content rendering will pause so the UI can keep that high frame rate, high quality redraw pace."

Keep your mouth shut, because whatever sewage is coming out of it is making everyone around you dumber.
