This deal is very good for those people who don't need to travel....

Don't even bother, by the time you get the card, spend the required amount, wait for the points to be posted, the deal is no longer there. If you read it carefully the current promotion is only for limited time only so there's no guarantee when you're ready to redeem your point, the "sale" still there!

Can I redeem my Southwest reward points which I accrued when I traveled on Southwest for this gift card ? I don't have their credit card membership.

And don't forget this credit card has annual fee!!!

Just in for one, for the sole purpose of getting the amazon gc. Even if the 20% off promotion is over by the time the card arrives, which supposedly takes 2 weeks, it's still a good deal: 250000 points =$500 amazon gc-$69 annual fee=$431 amazon gift card. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

it is not a good deal as buying a ticket from southwest. The points worth less in buying gift cards than in buying tickets. Remember that 6000 points= $100

Can someone please make a few things clear?
A) Do we have to wait a billing cycle(s) to see the points, someone mentioned that was the case.
B) 20% off gift cards, Walmart included?
C) So many numbers have been thrown around by ppl, assuming NO 20% promotion, how many $$ in gift cards can you buy with the 50k points

im guessing you have to wait a billing cycle because I recieved my card a few weeks ago, have put over 300 dollars on it, and have not recieved my 50,000 points. They are supposed to be recieved after your first 1 dollar purchase. I'm going to call them though.
