I heard that if you already paid for a prime membership, they will refund some portion when you sign up for the free trial. Call them and ask.

Even if you are currently a prime member (who has an .edu account in the system), it works. Starting from today, you will have one year free membership. Just click on My Account, then student membership link and then Mor Info (or something like that). Dig it, you see it will work

Last year they were offering two years free A.P. for students. They reneged partway through and changed it to one year only and cut my membership short.

ok. There is no more FREE prime membership for students. You have to PAY $39 per year now!!!
