I'm sorry if I'm being ignorant. But why so many people are so admiring the alien one? Except the cool/differnt looking, the performance does not look better than other machines?
BTW, question to the deal experts, is this a once-a-year deal? I do need to upgrade my laptop, but right now is not the best time for me in terms of financial condition...

It is a great machine because of the graphic card not just the look. But it is not once-in-a-year deal. They have deals like this once in a while. But 50% off is the lowest price they ever go.

The Alienware one and the Envy one are both very powerful beasts. The only problem about them is that their hardware configuration are little bit old. But Q9000 is still Q9000 and 2xGTX 260M in SLI is still 260M SLI. The performance is there. If you don't care no DirectX 11 and don't care the weight...Q9000+GTX 260M SLI and i7+Mobility HD 4830 worth the money.

Well, if that is the case, I do need a powerful graphic card b/c I'm getting to do some design work with programs like Auto CAD, Revit, things like that. Hmm, got to think about it. But limited coupon redemption calls for quick decision...

I believe it goes with one-year global warranty. You can go to any Dell stores at any places to get it fixed. Be sure to have your receipt or you may can register your product on the Dell official website.

Just ordered the HP Envy. The total price is 1281, with 7x.xx tax and 10 shipping. It seems the coupon expired after I placed my order.

Try clearing your browser's history, cookies etc. and then try. Dell has discontinued Studio XPS 13.

I got my Dell XPS which I ordered on 5-25-2010 yesterday. A couple of things are different from the original specs.
1. The CPU is 2.27 GHz not 2.53 GHz as shown in the box.
2. The battery lasts only 2 hours instead of 4+ hours.
3. The bluetooth was not included.
Has anyone gotten similar problem? Any suggestion?
