I am very disappointed with my last Lenovo purchase. They are totally different from whatever IBM was doing. The labtop and desktop are cheaply built. Sorry, Lenovo, you ruined a good product line.

Well, this T410 is a upgrade from T400 with more USB, display port, bigger battery, and redesigned layout. T-serial is the best laptop you can find, this price is good compare to $919 from Lenovo website.

Agree, thinkpad is still reliable and offers the best quality hardware. Some people got a sour lemon from lenovo, then instantly jump to conclusion that the whole series is bad.

I am very disappointed too. Lenovo modified my order, and told me take it or leave it. Originally I ordered a laptop with LED backlit, and I received a laptop without Led backlit. They haven't fixed this problem with me yet even I had sent them the snapshot of my order confirmation 10 days ago.

Thinkpad is suck, Made in China is Suck, Made in US is suck , Made in Japan is suck, choose Samsung!!!

2GB Memory is unacceptable for running Windows 7. 250GB HD is too small for today's standard. 4 cells battery is also not enough.

My experience after 2 IBM (T42, and T43) and a Lenovo T60. After 4 years the battery on T43 still great and the T42 one acceptable. Not the same thing I can say about the T60. It sucks. The difference between Lenovo and IBM, in my opinion is that Lenovo got a good product design but tried to cut costs. The result at least for me and couple other friends are disappointing.

I owned a Lenovo made Thinkpad X60 for 4 years. It still works great. Overall, the design and quality of thinkpad is great. I don't care who designed it. Thinkpad series are generally very reliable. I will not say the same thing for Dell and HP laptops that I have owned in the past ten years. I recommend thinkpad!

为什么联想在美国和在中国的服务差那么多那么多呢？？？郁闷。。。拿出在国内四分之一的服务放在美国市场，都不只是现在的评价。想起国内售后点多好啊，在这里打电话给客服，某些A3简直就是。。。。

A3是动口不动手的典型。当年我被大雪困在温哥华机场，打加拿大航空的客服，没想到客服居然设在印度，而答复是永远的标准印度英语录音机答复："we are experiencing extremely high volume of calling, please...." 从那以后再也不坐加拿大航空。

I have used my T400 for 2 months. I think generally it is a good laptop. I owned a HP and it only lasted for 2 years in regular office use. I will never buy a HP.

My battery of T60 was dead after only used for half an year

guess more fair to say Lenovo may have some quality/reliability control issue. The T61 user complained about battery may tell the truth yet my T61 bought in '08 still has a great battery as of today. Who knows. All I can say that even Lenovo-made thinkpad sucks, still better than the rest in the market.

Only three brands are making good personal computers: Lenovo (T,W,X series);Apple and Fujitsu.Others simply suck.

Everything is good as long as you pay the appropriate money! You should not expect to get something of top quality with a cheap price. If you want to have a good Lenovo laptop, just pick the expensive one. That is it!

2 cents from my personal experience: there are laptops as good as Lenovo T/X series regarding design,quality and reliability, but these are often more (sometimes much more) expensive than thinkpads (toshiba high end, some apple).

I had really bad experience with hp and dell ($300-$1500). Also, Dell used to have good service but not any more (not terrible).

Here is a Lenovo story. I placed about 10 orders within the last 16 months and none of them got shipped execpt one partial order. It was ordered in June of 2008 (4 PCs with monitors) and after numerous calls to Lenovo in 2008 I just gave up on that order. In Feb 20th of 2010 i received a monitor with a shipping label on it dated June 2008 and when I checked my credit card statement I saw I was charged for $203.00. Very good deal for a 19" monitor in 2010 right:). Last order was for 3 S10 netbooks 23 days ago after 4 cals still nothing and at every call they can not find the order and when you start increasing your voice they suddenly find your order (at every call same experience) and they always tell the same thing "your order was placed as a quote and never converted to an actual order I am converting it to an actual order and you should receive it in less than a week" by the way I am still struggling to find a quote page on their website so that I can place an order as a quote :) Good luck all.

Lenovo is very disappointing. They modified my original configuration of the laptop that I ordered in Feb without informing me. The replaced a FHD screen with a cheaper HD screen. Be aware of this, if you want to order you laptops with Lenovo.

There was a better deal of Thinkpad T400s a while ago provided at microsoft store. I am using it to write this post. It is the best laptop that I have ever used!

I agreed with many people that stated thinkpad WAS a good laptop before, after lenovo took over..it might not be as good as it was (thinkpad only good for business user). If you want good laptop on par with apple quality, get SONY.

I got one T410 a month ago. Lenovo's initial quality control is bad. Mine got major defects in speakers upon arrival and it took Lenovo twice to get it fixed. Moreover, they refused a full refund for my purchase! Will never recommend Lenovo to anyone.

I used my T410 for about two month. Generally, it is good, but the fan noise bothers me, which is even louder than my old T61. The fan works so frequently, even during light uses.

Don't expect to much on chink's quality. The only thing they know is how to exploit child labor. That is why Lenovo turns Thinkpad into garbage.

Good deal, I ordered one. 540m, 4G, 3year depot, 6 cell. I believe this is the best config now. I will change HDD later (when 750G becomes cheap.)

It's a pretty good deal. I am using one now. The quality is better than I expected. But obviously T410 is not a real T series. Buy T410s if you want the old T series quality.
