What do you base that statement on -- lots of very good reviews from lots of sites. Did you have a bad experience? That sort of blanket statement w/no evidence is not helpful.

That's the best compact superzoom camera! I got one when it came out last year over $300, love it! This is a more than $100 off. Got one for my mother-in-law today.

I have this Camera and bought it at $350 last summer. It can produce very sharp pictures with many functions. Better than many other cameras I have used.
At this price, it is really a steal.

To the Panasonic hater above: have you heard Lumix DMC LX3? That's one of the best compact digital cameras in the market. Panasonic models with Leica lens really give quality images.

obviously, it makes room for the succeeding model announced last month. However, this model falls in the best functionality cost ratio since the new model hasnot proven a better IQ so far from reviews
