I have one of these and it worked great for the civic, the van, the truck... But when I got the MX-5, the... um... "dynamics" were just too much and it kept launching off the dash toward the rear bulkhead on launch or trying to jump out the window in turns. I had to go to a different mount. However, it works very well in just about anything else and you can easily take it off the dash and tuck it under the seat and out of view without leaving a trace (like suction cup rings on the windshield).
