Wrong, while it may not be as good as a larger SSD, the 24GB is used as a cache drive. It'll hold all the files that your system uses the most often. When your computer has faster access to these files, it should result in a much faster system than one that only has a HDD.

What's up with the 24G SSD as basic spec now? It's really not that useful. It might boost startup by a slight margin but real everyday performance won't change that much, because they will still need to be accessed from the HDD.

I got this one a month ago and very happy with it, a very solid built, wonderful keyboard, very quiet, and very fast. I was a bit reluctant initially about the not-touch option with Win8 but after a few days you get used to maneuver using the desktop icon and handle it properly, so it is not a big deal.

24G SSD is really useless. installed windows 7 and only got 4G space left in it.
