Every time we get one of these specialized sets, we have fun building it once and then all the parts go into the big box-o-legos. The parts from the specialty sets can be handy for building all kinds of things. I'd like to get some of the old technical sets that have gears and motors. Those were fun to play with as a kid.

You talk as if not having a wide variety of sets available was a feature. People made things from random blocks decades ago because there was little to no other option. No need to be bitter. Many people enjoy Lego and you might enjoy it again too one day. //@anonymous: I miss the old Lego, when people would use their own creativity to build things they imagined, rather than building a kit that Lego designed for you. This is more like painting-by-numbers.

I agree with you 100%. Have been a fan of LEGO since my early childhood. Never got tired of it. Just love it! //@Anonymous: I miss the old Lego, when people would use their own creativity to build things they imagined, rather than building a kit that Lego designed for you. Then you can buy LEGO creativity set.
This set is good since kids can learn from a different way. //@Anonymous: I miss the old Lego, when people would use their own creativity to build things they imagined, rather than building a kit that Lego designed for you. This is more like painting-by-numbers.

Do not buy inkjet printers. Too expensive in the long run. Go for Laser printers. You will save a lot in toners.

Laser printer has color.

Not true. First of all life should be in color. Secondly toner cartridges are not friendly to the environment. Thirdly new tank style inkjets are super low cost in the long run. I am still using old inkjets with refillable cartridges since 2019. I spent $30 on the inks then and still have half left. So cost of color prints for three years is $15. //@Anonymous: Do not buy inkjet printers. Too expensive in the long run. Go for Laser printers. You will save a lot in toners.

After two decades, switched from laser to inkjet because:
1. Color is always better!
2. Laser toner cartridges are not eco-friendly.
3. Inkjet cartridges can be refilled. Search Utube. I bought refillable cartridges (extra large) and they are still half full after two years. //@Anonymous: Do not buy inkjet printers. Too expensive in the long run. Go for Laser printers. You will save a lot in toners.

Have you tried looking into their HP Instant Ink plan? I pay $3.99 a month for 50 pages, even photo pages. Unused pages roll over and when your printer is low on ink, they ship you a cartridge, free shipping. //@anonymous: don't buy, HP currently only accept HP's ink, which is expensive and not affordable.

Maybe the old UCS but the newer ones like this people buy to collect and resell. So 400&-500% in 5-8yrs is highly unlikely. Expect more like 100%-200% after taxes/fees/shipping. //@anonymous: this is a great deal! UCS always appreciate a lot! buy 1 and keep it in new condition and resell in 5-8 years with 400-500% return

Yes avoid cartridges at all cost - pun intended :) These tank style inkjets don't use cartridges though and that's what I am getting... //@Anonymous:
While inkjet printers produce up to 85 percent less carbon dioxide than those of comparable laser printers, the inkjet cartridge is the issue. Usually, inkjet printers run out of ink more frequently than laser printer and thus create more cartridge waste than laser printers. There is no such thing as a free lunch. //@jj0915: After two decades of laser printers, I will be switching to these inkjets once the laser toners run out. Laser cartridges are cheaper but are not environmentally friendly. Life should be in color :)
